Hyperion Records, the Trio’s long-standing record company, have recently released ‘The Complete Beethoven Piano Trios’ by The Florestan Trio as a specially priced 4 CD box set.
Hyperion Record of the Month
Hyperion’s Record of the Month for May 2011 is the final recording from The Florestan Trio. Shostakovich’s two piano trios (No.1 Op 8 and No.2 Op 67) sit either side of his wonderful, and rarely performed ‘Seven Romances on Poems of Alexander Blok’ Op 127, sung by Susan Gritton.
