About The Florestan Trio

The Florestan Trio would like to announce its final season of concerts. After 16 years of exceptional achievement and having recorded the major works of the Piano Trio repertoire to great acclaim, the career paths of the members of the Trio are diverging: Anthony Marwood will continue to develop his solo and directing activities; Richard Lester will be performing with the London Haydn Quartet, as a soloist and principal cello with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe; and Susan Tomes will pursue solo engagements and chamber music projects, as well as writing and broadcasting. The Trio look forward to welcoming you to their last, celebratory Beethoven cycle at the Wigmore Hall, London, in January 2012.

Friends of the Florestan Trio

Following the Trio’s announcement in January 2011, the Friends of the Florestan Trio scheme is now closed. The Florestan Trio would like to thank Friends, Patrons, donors and companies for their warmth, humour and generosity throughout their Trio life.

Last Trio concerts: returns only

Such is the demand for the Trio’s final concerts, the Wigmore Hall has confirmed that there are now returns only for their last two concerts on Wednesday 11 and Friday 13 January 2012. The first concert on Saturday 7 January was breathtaking. If you are coming for the last two, we hope you enjoy it.
